Lonely vs. Alone

Lonely

The state of mind when physical presence does not negate the feelings emptiness. 

A void, barren mental insides create a weighted heart overcome with the sense of wanting. 

Uninhabited emotional connections among ubiquitous companions.

Alone

Complete and total absence of another being. Looking left, looking right....

 Looking... 

Only to find yourself, by yourself, isolated. 

A singular entity facing the world, solo, with a desolate corner.

Both states, mental and physical, synchronously occupying a persons psyche can cause ungodly behavior/thoughts. But with persistence and unwavering will to see if the grass is greener things can become just a figment of the imagination.
